On Tuesday, 9 August 2011, Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works and Head of the Managing Authority of Operational Programme Regional Development Lilyana Pavlova will sign grant contracts under Operational Programme Regional Development (OPRD) with the mayors of 40 municipalities who have approved projects under scheme BG161PO001/1.1-10/2010 Support for the organization and promotion of innovative cultural events.

The grant amount under OPRD stands at 19.5 million BGN and the amount will be allocated for the organization and promotion of cultural events as a prerequisite for the shaping of the identity and unique character of settlements in urban areas.

The grant scheme is implemented with the financial assistance of the European Union via the European Regional Development Fund. 

When the contract is signed, the beneficiary should present the following documents signed and sealed in 2 original copies:

• Declaration of Irregularities (Annex G)
• Declaration about the sources of funding (Annex В4)
• Financial Identification form (Annex Е1-III)

The contracts will be signed in line with a schedule prepared in advance.

The official signing ceremony will take place on Tuesday, 9 August 2011, at 11.00 a.m. in the building of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works at 17-19 St. St. Cyril and Methodius, at the Press Centre on the 1^st floor.
